**Position Summary**
CVS Health is seeking a lead director to join our government affairs team. This position will play a critical role in developing and executing a strategy to highlight CVS Health’s local presence and the vital role of the pharmacist to healthcare affordability and access, to policymakers. through arranging pharmacy tours, employee engagement with elected officials in their districts, state capitals and Congress.
**Key Responsibilities:**
Support the design and implementation of a nation wide program to enhance interactions of CVS Health employees with policymakers. Working closely with the state and Federal lobbying teams and pharmacy organization the lead director will:
+ Assist in coordination of events to promote the importance of CVS pharmacies or other CVS facilities in their communities with policymakers
+ Organize and implement pharmacist engagement advocacy efforts including testimony, fly-ins/”lobby days in the capitol”, and district engagement to support company efforts.
+ Prepare CVS participants for meetings, including briefing materials
+ Organize and oversee other pharmacy advocacy projects
+ Participate in legislative testimony or meetings as needed on pending legislation
+ Facilitate issue resolution on state inquiries (non BoP) related to operational functions within retail.

**Qualifications:**
+ At least 10 years of experience working in retail pharmacy, public affairs, lobbying or grassroots engagement.
+ Knowledge of health care public policy issues especially pharmacy.
+ Bachelor’s Degree required
**Pay Range**
The typical pay range for this role is:
$144,200.00 - $288,400.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
