Join us and be part of this journey towards greater opportunities and brighter futures. **Job Title: Lead DevOps Engineer** **Location: Remote** **Overview:** We are seeking a strategic and technically strong Lead DevOps Engineer to transform our DevOps landscape. This role will oversee the migration from Azure DevOps to Harness, retire legacy technology debt, and build a high-performing, outcome-driven engineering team. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise, an engineering mindset, and proven leadership in scaling DevOps maturity across global teams. **Required Qualifications:** + 10+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or related engineering roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity. + Proven experience in managing tool migrations, preferably from Azure DevOps to Harness. + Strong hands-on knowledge of Azure, Terraform, CI/CD, and Cosmos DB. + Experience in managing global teams and delivering across time zones. + Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and strategic thinking skills. **Key Responsibilities:** Strategic Leadership & Transformation + Lead the migration from Azure DevOps to Harness, focusing on simplification and modernization rather than a like-for-like transition. + Drive the retirement of legacy technology debt through refactoring and optimization. + Establish and operationalize a team-based DevOps model focused on outcomes, efficiency, and engineering excellence. **Team Management & Oversight** + Build and manage a multi-skilled DevOps & SRE team with global delivery capabilities, including nearshore and offshore resources. + Provide senior-level oversight and act as the single point of contact for CLIENT’S leadership. + Foster collaboration across Infrastructure & Operations (I&O), Application Development, and Data Services teams. **Technical Excellence & Innovation** + Ensure deep technical capabilities across Azure Infrastructure, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, and Cosmos DB. + Promote best practices in DevOps and SRE, including proactive root cause analysis and issue prevention. + Optimize tool usage and identify gaps to maximize value realization from existing platforms. **Operational Efficiency & Reporting** + Implement robust reporting mechanisms to track team performance, tool utilization, and transformation progress. + Recommend strategies for cost optimization and improved operational workflows. + Drive continuous improvement through automation, monitoring, and feedback loops. **Preferred Qualifications:** + Experience in consulting or working with clients in a transformation context. + Familiarity with DevOps maturity models and industry benchmarking. + Certifications in Azure, Terraform, or DevOps practices. The base salary range for this position is $92,000- $110,000, plus incentives that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on work location, qualifications, skills, education, experience, and competencies.
