A Lead Design Engineer job is currently available at Belcan in Querétaro México. This job is a full-time position with benefits. This is a full-time Design Engineer position with benefits. To be considered for this job you will have five or more years of experience in turbomachinery design with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering or a related field. As a Design Engineer you will support multiple projects and be responsible for evaluating and developing designs from initial request through completion. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams and effective communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Job Duties:
* The Design Engineer will lead the design of turbomachinery components and systems (including brackets, ducts, tubes, hoses, and harnesses) and perform activities requiring knowledge of mechanical analysis, gas turbine engine component design, hand calculations, engineering documentation, component durability assessment, and engine manufacturing, build, and test. Implement product definition criteria in accordance with requirements for commercial attributes associated with producibility/manufacturability of the component.
* Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Plan, execute, and document RCA process to identify the underlying causes of mechanical system failures, equipment malfunction or performance issues, ensuring timely and effective solutions.
* Communicate complex technical data effectively to internal teams, external customers, and regulatory bodies through reports and presentations.
* Track project progress, report key developments, and address challenges to meet quality and schedule requirements.
Required Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
* Five or more years of engineering experience in the field of gas turbine engines or turbomachinery, specialty on Engine externals design and/or analysis
* Knowledge in Stress, GD&T, Basic stack ups and Manufacturing processes.
* Ability to communicate complex technical data clearly and effectively to diverse stakeholders, including customers and employees, in one-on-one, small group, and large group settings.
* Proficiency in English and Spanish (written and verbal)
* Ability to contribute in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
* Experience with Teamcenter, TcVis Mockup, NX and Ansys.
* Ability to work in fast-paced environments and adapt to varying project demands.
