Lead Design Engineer

This position is responsible for global product localization and developing new products, leading the compressor structure design and components qualification, and delivering optimized design with best cost, robust reliability, and easy manufacturing to meet customer’s requirements. **Key Responsibilities** 1.Mechanical Structure Design + Initial conceptual design to meet specific product performance & reliability requirements. + Perform structural strength evaluation with loads for risk assessment. + Optimize design layout & develop engineering specifications for risk mitigation and best manufacturability. + Research and patent potential design trends to maximize product value, optimize costs, and enhance compressor performance. 2.Components Qualification + Identify & mitigate potential risks in the new design by using DFMEA, simulation tools and functional tests. + Collaborate with manufacturing teams to identify and mitigate manufacturing risk by adopting the PFMEA tool. 3. New Product Development + Develop design concepts and lead verification to ensure structure and product meet functional requirements and manufacturability. + Interact with functional teams to ensure the design checklist and guidelines have been followed and meet program schedule. + Lead technical reviews and prepare associated documentation. + Release BOM, part drawing and engineering specification by following engineering change process. 4.Maintain product and support improvement + Work with global engineering team for global product localization. + Provide technical solutions for continuous maintenance and improvement after product launch. **Educational and Professional Qualifications:** Bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical Engineering and other related areas + More than 7 years (BS) or 5 years (MS) working experience on mechanical engineering design, including basic static/dynamic analysis, calculation on material strength, and components design optimization, etc. + Rotor dynamical & Aero dynamical knowledge & experience are preferred. **Requirements and Attributes:** + Proven technical knowledge and skills on mechanical design. + Good communication skills of both verbal and written English + Strong background knowledge of centrifugal compressors design is a plus **Our Commitment to Our People** Across the globe, we are united by a singular Purpose: Sustainability is no small ambition.
