As a Lead Data Architect at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer & Community Banking, you play a crucial role in developing high-quality data architecture solutions for a range of software applications and platform products. Job responsibilities

Represents the data architecture team at technical governance bodies and provides feedback regarding proposed improvements regarding data architecture governance practicesEvaluates new and current technologies using existing data architecture standards and frameworksRegularly provides technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendorsDevelops secure, high-quality production code and reviews and debugs code written by others Drives data architecture decisions that impact product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processesServes as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus Actively contributes to the engineering community as an advocate of firmwide data frameworks, tools, and practices in the Software Development Life CycleInfluences peers and project decision-makers to consider the use and application of leading-edge technologiesAdvises junior architects and technologistsAdds to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect

 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

 

Formal training or certification on software data architect concepts and 5+ years applied experience

Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stabilityAdvanced in one or more programming languages, applications, and architectureAdvanced knowledge of architecture, applications, and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversightPractical cloud native experienceAbility to evaluate current and emerging technologies to select or recommend the best solutions for the future state architecture Adds to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect
