**About the Role** We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Lead Data Analyst to join the Global Strategy Analytics team and become a key player in shaping the future of support at Uber. The Global Strategy Analytics team provides top-quality business performance reporting, targets, and analysis to enable Uber’s Community Operations (CommOps) to make strategic, data-driven decisions. As a senior member of the team, you will apply your strategic and analytical thinking to answer critical business questions. This will entail designing and running deep analyses, working cross functionally (Product, Operations, Finance etc.) to generate insights, and sharing your recommendations with senior leadership to drive global change. **What the Candidate Will Do** 1. Develop executive-level analyses, communications and presentations for senior leadership. 2. Perform deep-dive analysis to unpack insights and recommend solutions to business problems. 3. Translate ambiguous questions into data-driven recommendations. 4. Develop an in-depth understanding of business performance and share strategic insights with senior leadership to influence decision-making. 5. Write complex SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyze data. 6. Identify, plan, and execute projects and root cause analyses to improve existing processes. 7. Help uplevel the skillsets of more junior analysts on the team **Basic Qualifications** 1. 6 years of work experience in finance analytics, business analytics, data analytics, or within a similar field 2. Advanced SQL skills 3. Experience with Tableau and/or a similar data visualization tool 4. Bachelor’s Degree **Preferred Qualifications** 01. Masters Degree 02. High technical proficiency in common analytics & reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Google Data Studio, Google Sheets/Excel). 03. Experience in Python 04. Experience working with customer support or customer insights. 05. Advanced data analysis skills leading to actionable recommendations. 06. Experience in leading high-visibility projects and influencing others in a cross-functional team environment 07. ​​Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex data insights to both technical and non-technical audiences 08. Strong sense of ownership and accountability 09. Curious, self-directed, and impact-driven—you chase high-impact problems to deliver solutions. 10. Comfortable with ambiguity and switching contexts in a fast-moving environment 11. Experience in communicating with and presenting to senior leader. 12. Strong storytelling ability:Distilling exciting and hard-to-find insights into a compelling, concise data story. 13. Comfort in working with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment 14. Experience in data extraction, wrangling, and building pipelines. 15. Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset 16. Highly self-motivated, proactive, and able to drive projects independently. 17. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 18. Detail-oriented mindset, with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and process standardization. For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$162,000 per year - USD$180,000 per year. You will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. You will also be eligible for various benefits.
