Key Responsibilities
• Responsible for the preparation of various schedules of Ameriprise Holding Company regulatory filings on a quarterly basis.
FRY-9C – Consolidated Financial Statements for Holdings CompaniesFRY-9LP – Parent Company Only Financial Statements for Large Holding CompaniesFR2314 – Financial Statements of Foreign Subsidiaries of U.S. Banking OrganizationsFRY-11 – Financial Statements of U.S. Nonbank Subsidiaries of U.S. Holding Companies• Responsible for the preparation of various schedules of Ameriprise Bank regulatory filings:
FFIEC 041 – Call ReportFR2900 – Report of Deposits and Vault CashFR2420 – Report of Selected Money Market Rates• Responsible for preparation of other schedules and regulatory reports as needed.
• Assists in regulatory research and provides insightful qualitative analysis around regulatory, legal entity and/or other financial reporting.
• Teams with internal and external partners to understand, prioritize and review specialized/complex regulatory changes, new business products and accounting transactions and helps to implement any changes needed for reporting as a result.
• Maintain effective internal controls over financial reporting in accordance with SOX 404, other regulatory guidelines, and company standards.
• Assist with audit requests from and communicate with internal and external auditors and examiners/regulators on questions.
Required Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience in accounting.
• 4-year degree.
• Experience in a financial reporting role at a large multinational organization.
• Proficiency in accounting software tools such as Excel.
• Strong analytical/problem-solving skills as well as
• Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with others through a variety of communication methods domestically and internationally.
Preferred Qualifications
• Accounting degree.
• MBA, CA, CPA or equivalent.
• Demonstrated decision-making skills, ability to prioritize tasks to understand the impact to the business.
• Experience using Workday and applicable modules such as Worksheets/Prism.
• Experience navigating large multinational organizations with complex and rapidly changing organizational structures (such as PE, Asset Management, etc.).
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Prior Bank and Bank Holding Company regulatory reporting experience
• Strategic, innovative and independent thinker with the ability to foster and quickly adapt to change.
