Lead Commercial Loan Closing Specialist

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Commercial Loan Closing Specialist.


In this role, you will:

Complete pre-close and post-close documents for the most complex commercial real estate loans

Coordinate loan closings, perform customer, loan and regulatory diligence and on-going portfolio maintenance

Evaluate and upload data into the systems of record

Research complex business and operational decisions

Review and prepare loan related documents

Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures and regulatory requirements

Provide guidance and training to peers and may have limited supervisory responsibilities

Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals

Interact with internal and external customers

Receive direction from leaders and exercise independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements


Required Qualifications:

5+ years of Commercial Loan Closing experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

5 years of Loan Closing experience, including exposure to Syndications and LIQ, or an equivalent combination of experience gained through relevant work experience, formal training.

Job Expectations:

Complete pre-close and post-close documentation for the most complex commercial real estate loans.

Coordinate end-to-end loan closings, including customer, loan, and regulatory due diligence, as well as ongoing portfolio maintenance.

Evaluate, validate, and upload data into the appropriate systems of record with high accuracy.

Research and analyze complex business and operational issues to support decision-making.

Review, prepare, and ensure accuracy of all loan-related documentation.

Ensure full compliance with internal policies, procedures, and all applicable regulatory requirements.

Provide guidance, training, and support to peers; may handle limited supervisory responsibilities as needed.

Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve team goals.

Interact professionally with internal and external customers to support seamless loan operations.

Receive direction from leaders while exercising independent judgment and continuously building subject‑matter knowledge of functions, policies, procedures, and compliance expectations.
