**Job Title: Lead Carpenter** **Job Description** We are seeking a Traveling Lead Carpenter who will be responsible for restoring and remodeling structures of historical significance while preserving architectural integrity. This role requires precision craftsmanship, familiarity with historical materials and methods, and the ability to work collaboratively on active construction sites. **Responsibilities** + Restore and remodel historical structures while maintaining architectural integrity. + Utilize precision craftsmanship and historical materials in restoration projects. + Collaborate effectively on active construction sites. + Perform carpentry and laborer tasks as required by site needs. **Essential Skills** + Proven experience in restoration carpentry or historical preservation projects. + Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings. + Skilled in both rough and finish carpentry, including framing and trim. + Familiarity with historical building codes and preservation techniques. + Strong woodworking skills. + Knowledge of hand and power tools. + Ability to work independently and within a team. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + High School Diploma required; Trade School preferred. + Must know how to read a tape measure and blueprints. **Why Work Here?** Join a stable company that offers interesting projects with prevailing wage rates. Prevailing wage work is possible during government jobs. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Diego, CA. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $36.00/hr.
