Lead Advanced Network Technical Support

Job Description:

What you’ll do:

Integration and Support of New Technologies: Integrate and support new technology platforms into network environments, including developing, testing, training, and creating methods and procedures for new technology introduction.

Collaboration with CTO Partners: Collaborate with Partners, including working in Agile/DevOps environments and reviewing and signing off on CTO designs.

Utilization of Advanced Techniques: Utilize advanced networking techniques such as software-defined networking, virtualization, containerization, CI/CD pipelines for automation, custom tool creation, and advanced data analytics.

Troubleshooting and Problem Management: Resolving complex network issues, including providing technical leadership, resolving critical outages, leading root cause analysis, and driving problem management initiatives.

Development of Tools and Metrics: Develop tools and metrics for network operations, including creating custom tools, network performance metrics, and network automation.

What you’ll need:

As a Lead Advanced Network Technical Support, you will be responsible for leading the integration of new technology platforms and provide advanced network technology support within AT&T’s distributed real-time network, collaborating with CTO (Chief Technology Office) Partners in an Agile/DevOps environment to design, build, and operate functions on disaggregated networks and cloud infrastructure using software-defined networking, virtualization, and containerization.

What you’ll bring:

Required Experience:

5+ years’ or related experience; Technical Career Pathway (TCP) role

5+ years of Nokia EMS platform experience: AMS, NSP (SAM), and AltiPlano

5+ years working within operations environments that operate 24/7

5+ years of managing security hardening and vulnerability mitigation

5+ years of Lunix system administration and scripting

Required Qualifications:

Strong, innovative team player, who works well under pressure and can apply critical and creative thinking to small and complex problems alike

Highly motivated and self-directed

Excellent communication skills

Strong technical writing and documentation skills

Desired Education:

Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) desired in Computer Science preferred

Certification is required in some areas

Desired Qualifications:

Experienced professional, recognized as an expert, creatively resolving complex issues with broad and in-depth knowledge

Leads significant projects with strategic autonomy, influencing executive decisions

Mentors less experienced staff, implements long-term plans impacting the organization, and frequently collaborates with senior leadership

Developing and handing off methods and procedures for new technology introduction, coaching partner organizations, and conducting root cause analysis for complex network issues


Environmental Requirements:
This position may be responsible for contributing to AT&T compliance with environmental laws and regulations as applicable to its job function. This may include, but is not limited to, work related to fuel tanks, emergency and stand-by generators, boilers, hazardous waste, hazardous materials, batteries, manholes and vaults, water wells, linear and other construction projects, water discharge, or air emissions.

Our Lead Advanced Network Technical Support, earns between $116,700 - $196,100 annually.  Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
