Determines WIC Program eligibility, provides WIC-administrative, customer support services, counsel basic and advanced nutrition care and breastfeeding services to perinatal women, and the parents/legal guardians/caregivers of newborn to preschool-age children by: Utilizing a Public Health approach to providing nutrition education to participants, including high-risk nutrition risk conditions and manages specialized food prescriptions. Adhering to Scripps and California State WIC policies, and embracing California WIC philosophy of providing customer service, nutrition education and breastfeeding support.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Food and Nutrition Services, Nutrition Sciences or Dietetics from an accredited college or university.Registered Dietitian through the Commission of Dietetic Registration.Completion of dietetic internship or other training program that was approved by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics. (ACEND).At least 6 months of counseling within a public health and/social service organization.Strong customer service skills and works collaboratively with people of all ages, social, and ethnic backgrounds. Experience in a fast-paced office setting.
