LCC Transport Specialist

Make It Possible.** The job holder supports the management of the European Load Control Centre by being primarily responsible and accountable for the execution of international inbound transportation orders and national flows part of the team setup. The exact scope of countries (BU’s and markets) to be defined and introduced at onboarding, resource allocation done accordingly. This role is central to the execution of daily inbound shipments and supports the Transport team in managing operations, coordinating workload, and driving performance across the cluster. Will collaborate closely with 4PL partners, carriers, planners, warehouses, and factories while acting as a key contact for issue resolution. In addition to day-to-day execution, you’ll also support broader strategic goals such as transport optimization, KPI improvement, and GPP initiatives. **How you will contribute** + Monitor and track the execution of shipments from request through to delivery + Manage and Resolve Transportation related issues between customer, carrier, plant, warehouse + Optimize inbound transportation, assign optimized shipments to transportation service providers + Upload customer transport requests into the I-Net systems ensuring accuracy + Claims and Penalty Management – Control and application in line with agreed SOP’s + Provide support to the P2P cluster when required to balance workload + Act as a business link in the daily operation with customers and all other stakeholders (Replenishment, Warehouses, Logistics Operations, Loading Locations and Carriers) via pro-active and fast communication + Be the central point of all data and knowledge relating to the markets and carriers under their direct control + Proactively track performance, identify and implement opportunities to improve + Support projects within Logistics Operations and the Load Control Centre **What you will bring** A desire to drive your future and accelerate your career and the following experience and knowledge: + Fluent knowledge of **English** language + Any additional European language will be an asset + Customer service experience + Being able to communicate effectively and considerately toward internal and external customers and suppliers + Comprehensive understanding of business principles in combination with a high degree of initiative Knowledge of Excel + Strong team player + Organising and Time Management **Problem solving** **Accuracy, reliability** We pride ourselves on having a high performing and collaborative culture where we support your career and development. We also offer top attractive benefits. **More about this role** **Daily Transport Execution & Coordination** + Manage and process transport orders using Alpega TMS (INET), ensuring data accuracy and timeliness. + Track and monitor shipment status from request through to delivery and proactively resolve transport-related issues. + Coordinate transport capacity, release orders to carriers, and follow up on loading and unloading activities. + Act as a subject matter expert for transport processes and provide support for first-level escalations **Team Collaboration & Support** + Support the Team with prioritizing daily tasks and coordinating the team’s workload. + Share knowledge with new or less experienced team members and provide informal coaching or training when needed. + Help maintain team coverage by supporting other BU teams within the wider LCC transport team with common transport tasks when required and agreed with the team leads. **Customer Service & Stakeholder Engagement** + Be a central contact for transport-related inquiries from planning, factories, warehouses, procurement, and 4PL partners. + Maintain professional and proactive communication with all involved parties to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction. + Support claims and penalty handling and according to agreed procedures. **Transport Optimization & Spot Buying** + Support transport cost reduction by optimizing truck loads, improving vehicle utilization, and reducing extra charges. + Execute spot buying for urgent or non-standard shipments while following internal SOPs and ensuring cost efficiency. **Relocation Support Available?** **Business Unit Summary** **We value our talented employees, and whenever possible strive to help one of our associates grow professionally before recruiting new talent to our open positions.
