SALARY RANGE: $150k - $180k

 

 

Astrion is seeking a Launch Systems Engineer (LSE) supporting cradle-to-grave space launch and support operations with emphasis on strategic planning and stakeholder communication.

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering or a related STEM field.Technical Level III (T3) certification a plusMinimum 8 years of space launch experience (preferably with OSL systems or similar).Extensive knowledge of NRO/OSL launch policy and procedures.Strong understanding of:Launch enterprise capabilities.NRO Satellite Vehicle (SV) launch interface, fueling, transportation, and processing requirements.NRO SV lifecycle requirements.NRO budgeting and financial processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and deliver briefings/assessments to various audiences, including senior government leadership.Support full life-cycle launch activities, from planning through execution.
