Job Description
Join a dynamic and close-knit team in a small machine shop where you will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC lathe machines. You will primarily work on custom jobs that require precision and attention to detail, with parts taking between 4 to 20 hours to complete. While programming is not a requirement, it is a valuable asset, and you will be expected to interpret drawings and manage setups efficiently.
ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate CNC lathe machines.Assist with milling operations as needed.Perform 1-2 setups per part during typical shifts.Ensure parts meet tight tolerances, as small as .005.Read and interpret blueprints and GD&T with 1 thou tolerances.Make edits to G code, manage tool changes, and insert changes.Essential Skills5+ years of CNC setup experience in a custom machine shop.Proficiency in working with lathe machines.Familiarity with GD&T and blueprint reading.Additional Skills & QualificationsProgramming experience is considered an asset.Additional education or certifications are an asset.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
Work in a clean, temperature-controlled shop as part of a small team of around 10 people. The shift schedule is Monday to Thursday from 6:30 am to 3:30 pm, and Friday from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm, with voluntary overtime available after 42 hours.
