Job Description Job Summary The Laser Welding Programmer Technician is responsible for developing, simulating, and optimizing advanced 5-axis 3D laser welding programs for complex components. This role partners closely with manufacturing and engineering teams to lead new part prove-outs, optimize weld quality, and ensure consistent, repeatable production using TRUMPF laser technologies and Siemens Sinumerik One controls. Skills and Requirements Must-Haves • Develop, simulate, and optimize 5-axis 3D laser welding programs using Siemens Sinumerik One controls • Program and operate the TRUMPF Teach Panel with 6D mouse technology to define tool paths and optimal nozzle orientations on complex 3D surfaces • Configure and program VisionLine Detect camera systems for automatic feature recognition (edges, circles, etc.) and real-time position correction • Optimize welding parameters using BrightLine Weld Comfort to achieve high feed rates (up to 20 m/min) while maintaining weld quality and minimizing spatter • Manage FocusLine Professional settings with freely programmable focus positions and aspect ratios based on material thickness • Lead prove-out and validation of new part recipes • Monitor and log laser performance data using Active Laser Power Control to ensure consistent and repeatable weld results Plusses • Experience with high-mix, complex 3D laser welding applications • Strong understanding of laser process optimization for quality, speed, and • repeatability • Familiarity with advanced sensing, vision-based correction, and adaptive weld • control systems • Background in manufacturing, automation, or advanced fabrication environments • Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, production, and quality team
