University Grounds Maintenance/LandscaperShift 6:30am-3pm Schedule- M-F Pay- $15/hr

Job Description

A University Groundskeeper focuses on maintaining campus grounds to be safe, clean, and attractive by mowing, weeding, pruning, planting, and clearing debris, while operating groundskeeping equipment and tools. Responsibilities also include managing and maintaining athletic fields and other facilities, snow and ice removal, and performing basic maintenance on the equipment used. 

Responsibilities

Lawn and Plant Care: Mow, edge, and fertilize lawns. 

Plant flowers, shrubs, trees, and other landscaping materials. 

Weed, water, and mulch landscaped areas. 

Prune hedges, shrubs, and small trees. 

Campus Cleanliness and Safety: Remove litter, trash, and debris from sidewalks, parking lots, and other grounds. 

Perform snow and ice removal from walks, roads, and lots. 

Apply ice melt and sand to ensure pedestrian safety. 

Essential Skills

Ability to operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment.Knowledge of grounds maintenance practices, including planting, mowing, and fertilizing.Physical ability to perform manual labor outdoors in various weather conditions.Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $15.00/hr.
