Overview:
Responsibilities:Perform guest service according to Knott’s Berry Farm Standards.Perform Knott's Berry Farm costuming and grooming standards.Irrigate plant material at various times throughout the day.Prune plant materials at various times throughout the day.Groom flower beds at various times throughout the day.Perform planting and construction activities at various times.Maintain turf including operating power and hand equipment necessary to perform efficiently the gardening task.Cultivate and aerate soil at various times throughout the day.Pump water with powered and manual pumps at various times throughout the day.Perform routine preventive maintenance and safety inspections on various types of hand and power equipment.Assist as needed in performing any task required to enhance the aesthetic quality.Ability to work with employees and guests in a positive, productive, and professional manner.Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:Must be least 18 years of age.High school diploma, G.E.D. or equivalentCalifornia Driver License, Class ‘C’ or greater.Experience in mechanical maintenance and repair preferred.Must meet all scheduling requirements, including weekends, nights, holidays, and overtime as necessary to meet business needsAble to work outdoors for entire shift in all weather and lighting conditions.Able to work at heights from ladders and platforms, and by rope access methods. Must possess good communications skills.Able to stand, walk and crawl on uneven surfaces and stand for extended periods of time without a break.Able to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, push, pull, and perform repetitive motion tasks.Able to walk up to 3 hours while carrying up to 20lbs on back.Able to work proficiently with various chemicals including those requiring the use of chemical respirators and other personal protective equipment.Able to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law and a background check.
Create and maintain a flawless landscape environment for our guests. Installs, maintains, feeds, prunes, trims, and waters a variety of ornamental plants, trees, and shrubs in order to maintain an aesthetically beautiful park and environment. Maintains all lakes, streams, and ornamental water systems according to health & safety guidelines.
Salary Details: $20.65 / hr - $32.74 / hr, based on prior experience
