Job Title: Landfill Gas Technician Job Description We are seeking a landfill gas technician who possesses 1+ years of experience in a mechanical or environmental setting. This technician will support this landfill site with routine and non-routine maintenance. The role involves tuning wellfields, pump maintenance (including pulling, cleaning/service, and replacement), and extensive work with SEMs and probes, which requires substantial walking across landfills. Responsibilities + Perform routine and non-routine maintenance on wellfields. + Conduct pump maintenance, including pulling, cleaning, servicing, and replacement. + Work extensively with SEMs and probes, requiring substantial walking on foot. Essential Skills + Proficiency with computer software is a plus. + Mechanical aptitude for field sampling and troubleshooting. + Familiarity with environmental testing and data collection. Additional Skills & Qualifications + ISCO pipe fusion certification is a plus. + 40 HR HAZWOPER or 8 HR Refresher is a plus. Otherwise we will get you this training prior to being onsite. Work Environment The work environment includes landfills with a GCCS methane system leading to a gas-to-energy plant. The role involves extensive walking and working outdoors, supporting a culture of professionalism and security within one of the largest and most respected environmental engineering firms in the US. working with landfill gas. We have a very low turnover/attrition rate and provide reliable weekly pay! Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bishopville, SC.
