Job Title: Landfill Gas Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and certified landfill gas technician with 1-3 years of experience in reading and tuning the wellfield. This role involves supporting our landfill gas site with routine and non-routine maintenance. In addition to tuning the wellfield, the technician should be comfortable and skilled in pump maintenance, including pulling, cleaning, servicing, and replacement. The position requires significant walking across landfills and working with SEMs and probes.
Responsibilities
+ Perform routine and non-routine maintenance at partner sites.
+ Tune the wellfield and conduct pump maintenance (pulling, cleaning/service, and replacement).
+ Work extensively with SEMs and probes across landfills.
+ Collect data and perform environmental testing.
+ Utilize troubleshooting skills and field sampling techniques.
+ Use landfill gas reading software and manage data migration.
Essential Skills
+ 1+ years of experience in landfill gas reading, tuning, and data migration.
+ Pump maintenance.
+ Experience with SEMs and probes.
+ Mechanical aptitude.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ ISCO pipe fusion certification is a plus.
+ 40 HR HAZWOPER or 8 HR Refresher certification is a plus and will be required prior to working onsite.
Work Environment
The work environment involves landfills equipped with a GCCS methane system, which feeds into a gas-to-energy plant. The role includes considerable walking and working on foot to operate and manage equipment such as SEMs and probes. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bishopville, SC.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $26.00/hr.
