Land Surveyor
Job Title: Land SurveyorJob Description We are seeking a dedicated LSIT to join our dynamic engineering firm located in the Minneapolis area. As a project manager and land surveyor, you will work on a variety of projects, including government, K-12 schools, commercial buildings, and multi-family projects throughout Minnesota. You will be responsible for overseeing projects from inception to completion, requiring minimal guidance. Your role will include creating construction documents and gathering field data. Responsibilities + Manage and oversee multiple projects from start to finish. + Create and finalize construction documents. + Gather and interpret data from the field. + Interact with clients and ensure their needs are met. + Collaborate with field crews to collect data and information. Essential Skills + Land surveying expertise with a minimum of 5 years of experience. + Proficiency in topographic surveys and topography. + Experience with Civil 3D software. + LSIT certification with at least 5 years of experience. + Drafting and design experience. + Surveying skills and familiarity with PLS. Additional Skills & Qualifications + PLS certification is considered an advantage but not required. + Ability to manage projects independently across various industries. Work Environment The role is based in our Minneapolis office, requiring a local presence for site visits and project management. The team consists of four members spread across different offices. The position offers a hybrid and remote work setup, though boots on the ground are essential for local projects. You will work closely with a field crew and interact directly with clients. The firm is involved in MEP, structural, and civil projects, ensuring a diverse workload. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Alexandria, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
