As a Land Survey Crew Chief, you’ll take the lead in managing field operations, guiding a small crew, and ensuring precision, safety, and efficiency across multiple project types. What You’ll DoLead and coordinate a dedicated field survey crew, organizing daily priorities and ensuring work is completed accurately and efficiently.Perform research, review site conditions, and identify field variables such as boundaries, landmarks, and environmental or physical changes affecting survey results.Collect high‑quality field data using total stations, GPS, and data collectors, ensuring compliance with project requirements and regulatory standards.Review survey evidence such as deeds, plats, maps, and previous records to support accurate boundary and control establishment.Determine proper methodologies for establishing or reestablishing survey control on a variety of sites.Maintain detailed notes, logs, sketches, and documentation of daily field activities.Attend project meetings, coordinate findings with engineers and clients, and support clear communication across all stakeholders.Oversee equipment maintenance, ensuring instruments are in proper working condition.Complete safety documentation and ensure crew members follow all safety procedures.Assist in reviewing completed survey data with office staff to confirm accuracy and completeness.What You Bring3+ years of progressive survey field experience, with at least 2 years as an Instrument Operator.Strong knowledge of survey practices, measurements, leveling, sighting, and data collection.Proficiency using field equipment such as total stations, data collectors, and GPS units.Excellent attention to detail with a methodical, consistent work style.Strong problem‑solving abilities and the ability to work independently when needed.Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.Willingness to travel regionally, including occasional overnight trips.Who You Are

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $15100.00 - $15100.00/yr.
