Job Title: Land Survey Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Land Surveying Technician in Lexington, KY. The ideal candidate is someone with a keen interest in building a career across all facets of the Land Surveying discipline. The role includes conducting field surveys with a team to carry out topographic, boundary, construction layout, and ALTA/NSPS Land Title surveys, ensuring high accuracy and attention to surface features and underground utility assets.

Responsibilities

Conduct field surveys with a survey crew of 1-2 people.Perform topographic, boundary, construction layout, and ALTA/NSPS Land Title surveys.Ensure high levels of detail and accuracy in surveying tasks.Utilize AutoCAD for data entry and survey documentation.Maintain a clean driving record and travel to various local sites daily.Report to the Lexington office and use a company vehicle for site visits.Adapt to working outdoors and spending rainy days in the office working with AutoCAD.

Essential Skills

Minimum of 6 months of experience in surveying.At least 1 year of experience using AutoCAD.High school diploma or GED.Technical writing skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree is a plus.Interest in a career in Land Surveying. Ability to walk and be on feet for extended periods.

Work Environment

The role involves reporting to different local sites daily, with occasional trips to Indiana or Tennessee. All travel expenses are covered via a company credit card. On rainy days, work is conducted in the office using AutoCAD. The position offers professional growth and advancement opportunities, including mentoring and software training. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lexington, KY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
