About the OpportunityA well-established digital commerce and technology solutions company is seeking a Backend PHP Developer to support a long-term modernization initiative. This role focuses on transforming a legacy PHP application into a modern, cloud-native, microservices-based platform hosted on AWS. This position is fully onsite in Austin, TX and requires consistent in-office collaboration. Candidates must already reside in Texas and be able to commute daily.
What You’ll Be DoingModernize a legacy PHP monolith into domain-driven microservicesDesign and build backend services using PHP (Symfony preferred)Develop and maintain RESTful, API-first integrationsDeploy and support services using AWS (ECS, EKS, Lambda, API Gateway)Containerize applications using Docker and support orchestrationBuild and maintain CI/CD pipelinesCollaborate with DevOps, Product, QA, and Analytics teamsParticipate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and code reviews
What We’re Looking For3+ years of backend development experience with PHPExperience with microservices architecture and API-driven systemsStrong AWS cloud experienceFamiliarity with Docker, CI/CD, and Infrastructure-as-CodeStrong problem-solving and communication skills
