Job Description

As a Fiberglass Laminator, you will create components for boats by applying fiberglass to a mold. You will ensure all areas of the mold are covered with resin-saturated fiberglass matting to achieve the desired strength of the finished component. Using tools like a chop gun or your hands, you will press the resin-saturated fiberglass matting into the mold and smooth it out to remove air bubbles and pockets. You will also be responsible for mixing resins and removing cured products from the mold. Boat experience is not a MUST but a PLUS.

ResponsibilitiesEnsure required parts and raw materials are ready for production according to schedule.Arrange materials in a specific order according to documentation using numbers, letters, words, or pictures.Spray fiberglass or lay sheets of fiberglass onto the part mold.Press layers into place and use a roller to smooth out any wrinkles or voids.Utilize fiberglass chop guns effectively.Handle, install, position, and manipulate materials using hands, arms, and rollers.Use mil gauge to ensure correct material application.Maintain cleanliness and tidiness in assigned material and storage areas.

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
