Fiberglass Laminator – Now Hiring

Pay:$17.00/hour

Shift:Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Location:Flagler Beach, FL

Position Overview

A Fiberglass Laminators responsible for creating boat components by applying fiberglass to molds. This role involves using tools such as chop guns or manual techniques to ensure resin-saturated fiberglass matting is properly applied and pressed into molds. The goal is to produce strong, high-quality fiberglass parts free of air bubbles or voids. Tasks include mixing resins, assembling two-part molds, and removing cured products.

Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare parts and raw materials for scheduled production.Arrange materials according to documentation using numbers, letters, or images.Spray or lay fiberglass sheets onto molds.Press and roll fiberglass layers to eliminate wrinkles and voids.Operate fiberglass chop guns and use mil gauges to ensure proper material thickness.Maintain a clean and organized work area.Participate in continuous improvement, cost-saving, EH&S, and quality initiatives.Operate material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks, aerial platforms).Wear required PPE including respirators, gloves, aprons, and suits.QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED, or 1+ years of related experience.Basic computer skills.Ability to read and understand verbal and written instructions.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Ability to work independently and in a team environment.Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).Familiarity with MRP systems and modern warehousing practices.Marine industry experience is a plus but not required.Physical RequirementsAbility to walk or stand for extended periods.Regular bending, stooping, kneeling, twisting, reaching, climbing, and lifting up to 35 lbs.Vision requirements include close, peripheral, and depth perception.Shop floor environment is non-climate controlled with exposure to heat, humidity, noise, and chemicals.Frequent exposure to mechanical parts, fiberglass dust, epoxy, and resins.Required use of safety glasses, Tyvek aprons, respirators, and other PPE.Additional DetailsOccasional overtime may be required based on business needs.Work environment includes moderate noise levels and exposure to airborne particles and chemicals.
Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
