**Job Title: Lamination Operator**
**Job Description**
As a Lamination Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating extrusion and lamination machines, ensuring the production of high-quality products. You will maintain product quality by checking width, gauge, treat, clarity, and roll appearance across all machines. Your role includes ensuring safe operation, assisting with screen and die changes, and maximizing output of all extruders or laminators. Additionally, you will train and lead extrusion assistants, complete shift reports, and adhere to safety instructions.
**Responsibilities**
+ Set up and operate extrusion lines to meet production standards.
+ Check and maintain product quality for all machines.
+ Ensure safe operation of equipment and maximum output.
+ Assist with screen and die changes.
+ Train and lead extrusion assistants.
+ Complete shift reports, production forms, and monitor process conditions.
+ Follow AIB guidelines and report defective materials.
+ Maintain clean and orderly work area and equipment.
+ Participate in continuous improvement processes.
+ Carry out detailed written and verbal instructions.
**Essential Skills**
+ Minimum of 2-years working on extrusion or lamination line.
+ Working knowledge of polyethylene resins and extrusion conditions.
+ Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide for production figures.
+ Capability to weigh, measure in feet and inches, and gauge film thickness.
+ Experience in flexible packaging and operating extruders or laminators.
+ Attention to detail and ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Adhesive measuring and mixing skills.
+ Ability to use metric measurement tape.

**Work Environment**
Join a dynamic team working in a flexible packaging environment. The facility operates two shifts: 5am-5pm and 5pm-5am, Monday-Wednesday or Monday-Thursday, with schedules provided two weeks in advance. The working environment includes exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, and airborne particles, with noise levels between 80-90 decibels. Large fans are used to maintain reasonable conditions, and water and cold treat stations are available on hot days. Employees wear hairnets and masks, with no requirement for beard nets.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Schaumburg, Illinois.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $32.00/hr.
