Job Title: Labware Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Labware Specialist to take full ownership of the Labware LIMS system. This role requires a technical expert who can build, configure, and maintain the Labware environment, rather than merely operate it as an end-user. The Labware Specialist will support all quality laboratories, ensuring compliance-ready system performance, and act as the primary point of contact for system improvements, upgrades, and audit support.

Responsibilities

Build and configure the Labware LIMS backend environment.Support quality laboratories and ensure compliance-ready system performance.Act as the primary escalation point for system improvements, upgrades, and audit support.Construct new products and configurations within the Labware environment.Align all LIMS builds with analytical methods, specifications, reagents, and lab workflows.Develop custom Certificates of Analysis (CoA) profiles tailored to client needs.Manage changes to existing Labware products, including implementation and documentation.Maintain system stability and ensure changes meet regulatory and documentation standards.Support all types of audits: regulatory, client, and internal.Perform system walkthroughs and supply documentation supporting 21 CFR Part 1 compliance.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in troubleshooting, LIMS configuration, validation, and compliance.Expertise in auditing software and pharmaceutical environments.Ability to build and configure Labware LIMS (backend).Minimum of five years of pharmaceutical raw materials testing experience.Strong capability in change control management, including updates and documentation for Labware products.Knowledge of chemistry and quality control processes.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience in change control management and documentation.Understanding of 21 CFR Part 1 compliance requirements.

Work Environment

This position requires working 5 days onsite, totaling 37.5 hours a week. The work environment is part of a fast-evolving, growing organization undergoing expansion and modernization, offering natural opportunities for role progression as operations scale

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mississauga, ON.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
