Job Description
As a Field Laborer/Top Man, you will work on various job sites across the Omaha metro area. Your primary tasks include working in and around trenches and installing concrete sewer pipes, sanitary sewer pipes, and fire hydrants. The role involves working with heavy equipment such as excavators and wheel loaders, although the machines perform the majority of heavy lifting and digging. You must be comfortable working in adverse weather conditions. Reliable transportation is essential as you will need to drive to different job sites daily.
You will have the opportunity to earn your way into an equipment operator role or a job site lead. This company also offers to pay for you to get your Sewers Layers License.
ResponsibilitiesWork in and around trenches to install concrete sewer and sanitary sewer pipes.Install fire hydrants at designated locations.Operate heavy equipment including excavators and wheel loaders.Ensure safe practices while working in adverse weather conditions.Maintain punctuality and reliability in commuting to job sites.Essential SkillsAt least 6 months of manual labor experience in construction.Experience in outside construction, utility construction, and dirt work.Proficiency in using hand tools and familiarity with construction equipment.Ability to lift 50 lbs from ground level to truck level.Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
The work environment is outdoors in a construction setting, involving exposure to varying weather conditions. Expect to work 58 hours per week with hours from 7 am to 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday, and occasional Saturdays. The crew typically consists of 6-8 people. The dress code includes jeans, a t-shirt or sweatshirt, and steel-toed boots.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
