Job Description
Join a global leader in healthcare diagnostics and research advancement as a Laboratory Sample Management Tech. You will play an integral role in managing, quality inspecting, and processing biological samples that are essential to scientific research.
Responsibilities
+ Ensure all samples are maintained in the appropriate environment during handling, processing, and storage to preserve biological viability.
+ Receive inbound shipments and track samples prior to registration.
+ Register received samples into various inventory management systems.
+ Retrieve samples from storage and package/ship them to global testing laboratories.
+ Retrieve samples from storage and complete disposal processes as requested.
+ Perform de-identification procedures on samples to remove traceability to patients.
+ Conduct aliquoting procedures on samples as needed.
+ Consolidate samples in storage as needed.
+ Support other sample management departments.
+ Adhere to all company policies and procedures and perform SOPs as written.
Qualifications
+ High School diploma or GED completion.
+ At least 1 year of sample management or warehouse experience.
+ Detail-oriented, reliable with attendance, efficient, and able to work independently or in a team setting within a fast pace metric-driven environment.
+ Data entry, tracking processors, and documentation accuracy.
+ Ability to lift 30+ lbs and handle dry ice.
+ Proficient with computers, including Microsoft Suite.
+ Experience in sample management.
+ Experience with industrial freezers and dry ice is nice to have but NOT required.
+ Ability to work independently or in a team setting.

Work Environment
This position is a Monday - Friday, day shift with opportunity for overtime hours. The work environment is fast-paced, involving the processing of approximately 1,000 samples per day. The role requires mostly standing and walking, with exposure to sub-zero freezers for sample storage, attention to detail, accuracy for inputting information into the QMS system, and time management skills. You will work independently with set metrics to reach throughout each shift, but also collaborate with the team and management as needed. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Greenfield, IN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.75 - $17.75/hr.
