What You'll Do:
The Labor Relations Specialist will assist in developing and implementing labor relations strategies in alignment with the applicable V2X Leadership Team. The Labor Relations Specialist may interface with division leaders, company legal counsel, local union representatives, and regional and national union leadership. They also serve as a resource point of contact for management and HR Business Partners (HRBPs) at the unionized company operating locations.Ability to proactively respond and engage in all labor relations matters
Key Responsibilities:
Provide support in CBA interpretation, strategy development, planning, and execution of positive Employee and Labor Relations initiativesIn-depth understanding and the ability to apply technical principles, theories, and concepts of the Labor Relations fieldMaintain in-depth knowledge of applicable employment and labor laws, reducing risk and ensuring regulatory complianceAbility to proactively analyze and interpret complex employee data to provide solutions to employee labor relations mattersProvide labor relations subject matter support to the HR Business Partners at all unionized operating locationsAssists the Corporate Labor Relations Lead on all Labor Relations issuesResponsible for achieving goals around strategic labor relations initiatives, continuous improvement, and the professional development of self, as communicated by the Corporate Labor Relations LeadFosters a diverse, inclusive, and equitable culture.Work closely with Corporate People Operations, the division, and cross-functional organizations to continuously improve service deliveryMay serve as a lead or team member on special project teamsSupport thorough and compliant labor relations investigationsProactively identify leadership development training focused on labor relations competenciesEnsures cultural alignment with V2X’s core values of professionalism, integrity, and respectAssists in the development of the negotiation strategy that includes economic and non-economic impacts of the CBAAssists in the preparation of the negotiation strategy package to submit for corporate leadership approvalAbility to utilize the entire suite of HCMS solutions to optimize labor relations service deliveryMaintains a comprehensive library of all CBAs, MOUs/MOAs, negotiation schedules, strategy briefs, grievance & arbitration logs, etc.Assist with Step 3 grievance meetings and replies, and arbitration strategy planning.Recommends solutions to management to resolve grievancesMaintains the highest ethical standards.Assist the Corporate Labor Relations Lead during the negotiation of Collective Bargaining Agreements in accordance with the corporate labor relations strategyWill require intermediate to advanced experience in the Microsoft Office Suite of Solutions, primarily Excel, PowerPoint, and WordDemonstrates effective verbal and written communication skillsAbility to use project management skills to effectively complete all assigned strategic and tactical deliverablesAbility to proactively respond and engage in all labor relations mattersDevelop the ability to moderate, mediate, and mitigate conflict situations in a professional mannerAbility to make recommendations during contract negotiations to mutually agreeable terms and conditionsAbility to use project management skills to effectively complete all assigned strategic and tactical deliverablesAbility to identify and develop meaningful labor relations metrics that set benchmarks for service deliveryPerform other duties as assigned.Qualifications

Education Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Business Management and at least 2+years of experience in Labor Relations or Employee Relations OR Associate’s degree in Human Resources or Business Management and at least 2 years of experience in Labor Relations or Employee Relations OR High School Diploma and 5 years of experience in Labor Relations or Employee Relations.Experience:Negotiation experience preferredAt least two (2) years’ government contracting experience working in the Aviation/Aerospace industry preferredAt least two (2) years of HCMS or Labor Relations solutions experience requiredHR experience preferredAt least two (2) years’ in-depth experience identifying, investigating, and resolving complex labor or employee relations matters as a primary or support responsibility of the positionOther Requirements:U.S. Citizenship requiredMust be able to meet pre-employment contingencies, which include a background investigation, substance abuse screening, and vaccination requirements, as applicableMust be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance, as applicableThis position requires the ability to work discretionary hours outside of the scheduled workweek to meet position requirementsAt least 20% of travel will be required.Must adhere to Company policies, procedures, and management instructions.The position requires the incumbent to strictly maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information and Company Proprietary dataSkills:Thorough understanding of all applicable federal, state, and local government agency employment laws and regulations (i.e. DoL, EEOC, the White House, DCAA, DCMA, NLRB, OSHA, etc)The ability to develop solutions based on root-cause analysis What We Bring At V2X, we strive to be market-competitive in our total reward offerings.The successful candidate’s starting pay will be based on, but not limited to, their job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions.The following salary range is intended to display the value of the company’s base pay compensation and may be modified at the discretion of the company.USD $ 60,000 - $95,000Provided salary range minimum and maximum values correspond to variances between regional/geographic locations across the United States.Please speak with a recruiter for additional information.Employee benefits include the following:
