Labor Relations Project Manager

Responsibilities What You'll Do: + The Project Manager, Labor Relations serves as the enterprise portfolio manager for all labor relations initiatives, negotiations, and strategic deliverables across the company. This is an executive-facing role responsible for driving visibility, discipline, and execution across a large and complex portfolio of collective bargaining agreements, negotiation strategies, and post-ratification implementation activities in a government contracting environment. + This newly created position operates as a force multiplier for Labor Relations leadership – ensuring negotiation readiness, strategic alignment, and delivery against enterprise priorities. The role partners closely with senior Labor Relations leadership, HR Business Partners, Legal, Finance, Contracts, and Program Executives to orchestrate timelines, decision points, and deliverables that directly impact operational continuity, financial outcomes, and customer commitments. + While prior labor relations experience is beneficial, this role is intentionally designed for a project management professional with the judgment, executive presence, and technical fluency to manage highly sensitive, time-critical initiatives. The ideal candidate brings strong governance mindset, advanced tooling capability, and the ability to translate complex activity into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership. Key Responsibilities: + Own and manage the enterprise Labor Relations planning by providing centralized governance over all negotiations, extensions, reopeners, ratifications, and implementation activities across business lines. + Serve as the single point of source for labor-related timelines, milestones, and dependencies, proactively identifying risks, conflicts, and resourcing constraints for leadership awareness and action. + Partner with Labor Relations leadership to structure, sequence, and operationalize negotiation strategies, ensuring readiness across Legal, Finance, HR, and Program stakeholders. + Lead development and maintenance of executive-level dashboards, scorecards and reporting that communicate status, risk, and decision points in a clear and concise manner. + Work collaboratively across legal, finance, HR, Programs and external advisors are required + Coordinate preparation, review, and version control of negotiation strategy packages and leadership briefing materials, ensuring alignment, accuracy, and consistency. + Act as a trusted advisor to Labor Relations leadership by anticipating downstream impacts, surfacing tradeoffs, and supporting data-driven decision-making + Establish and maintain standardized tools, templates, and operating rhythms that mature the Labor Relations function from an execution model to a disciplined enterprise operating model. + Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to streamline workflows, enhance data transparency, and leverage technology to scale the Labor Relations function. + Collaborate with Finance and HR Operations to support forecasting, travel planning, and resource allocation related to labor initiatives. + Establish and manage ongoing cadences for executive engagement and processes that support negotiation/planning strategies for CBAs. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: + Education: + Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Project Management, Human Resources, or related field required. + PMP, PgMP, or equivalent project/portfolio management certification strongly preferred. SHRM-CP or other HR certification a plus but not required . + SHRM-CP or other HR certification a plus but not required. + Experience: + 7+ years of project management, operations, or business coordination experience in a complex, matrixed organization. + Demonstrated experience managing cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders and deadlines. + Demonstrated experience managing workshops and focus groups that bring different perspectives together. + Experience in process improvement or optimization in complex environments + Proven ability to quickly analyze data and use learnings to support decision making. + Proven ability to manage multiple overlapping initiatives with competing priorities and immovable deadlines. + Experience in government contracting, regulated environments, or highly structured organizations strongly preferred. + Understanding or exposure to labor relations, HR operations, legal, or compliance functions is beneficial but not required. + Skills & Technology Used: + Ability to apply different tools and technology to streamline processes, increase insight and deliver results. Advanced expertise in Smartsheet and Microsoft tools, including development of dashboards, executive reporting, and workflow automation. + Able to apply AI or advance technology to maximize outcome or increase impact + Exceptional organizational, analytical, and communication skills with strong executive presence. + Ability to synthesize complex information and present clear recommendations, risks, and options to senior leadership. + High degree of discretion, judgment, and professionalism when handling sensitive and confidential information. + Experience operating independently, influencing without authority, and driving outcomes in ambiguous or evolving environments. + Strong financial fluency including experience working on finance, accounting and P&L organizations; understands how decisions will have profitability impact. + Other Requirement: + US citizen, required. + Software Applications: + Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, Project), Smartsheet, SharePoint, and HRIS or contract management systems (UKG, Workday, etc.) + Technology: + Standard office equipment including laptop, mobile device, and peripherals.
