Delivering exceptional technical performance is the essence of their brand. + **Position:** Lab Technician – Film Extrusion (Specialty Products) + **Location:** Sheboygan, WI + **Compensation:** Depending on qualifications/experience, this opportunity can offer up to a base salary of $62,400 plus paid overtime and bonus. + **Full Benefits Package (including but not limited to):** Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance, 401k match, paid vacation time and holidays, etc. + **Relocation Assistance:** Yes. + **A great work/life balance.** **JOB DESCRIPTION** Reporting to the Director of Specialty Products, the Lab Technician – Film Extrusion (Specialty Products) will play a key role in product development, polymer film extrusion, compounding, formulation, testing, data analysis, project execution, and report generation in the company’s newest plant. This is a great opportunity to help mold a new position and have ownership of a vital section of the company’s business. **Responsibilities:** + Polymer Processing: + Operate and develop polyolefin film and sheet extrusion processes. + Perform co-extrusion of dissimilar resins using techniques such as cast, blown, extrusion coating, and lamination. + Conduct polymer compounding using equipment like single- and twin-screw extruders, Banbury mixers, Brabenders, and kneaders. + Polymer Formulation & Testing: + Formulate polymers with various additives. + Perform polymer testing, including adhesion, clarity measurement, gel content, color analysis, heat seal integrity, and physical properties. + Project Execution & Analysis: + Develop processes and optimize production techniques. + Analyze data and generate detailed reports on findings. **Qualifications:** + Education & Experience: + Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Technology, Polymer Engineering, or a related field is a plus.
