The Lab Technician is responsible for preparing samples for the Flavorist and the Sales department, ensuring high quality and timely delivery.
ResponsibilitiesPrepare formulation samples for customers.Complete sample requests in a timely manner.Maintain stock of current materials in the laboratory.Keep Research & Development's completed formula batch tickets and file them monthly.Assist Flavorists as needed.Obtain all samples and ensure quality control approval prior to shipping to customers.Keep the laboratory in order and ensure glassware is cleaned, dried, and put away.Ensure all expired samples and raw materials are discarded properly.Essential SkillsExperience in R&D, Chemistry, Laboratory, and Formulation Development.Knowledge of Analytical Chemistry, FDA regulations, and Compounding.2 - 4 years of experience working in a lab setting.Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software.Ability to work quickly and efficiently to meet tight deadlines.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Proven organizational skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsDegree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Food Science or an equivalent area.Experience in Pharmaceutical, Food Chemistry, and Food Science.Ability to give and receive constructive feedback.Demonstrated ability to work in a results-oriented, challenging environment.Regular presence in the office required.Some travel may be required.Work EnvironmentThe role is based in an R&D Laboratory, where Lab Coats and PPE are necessary. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr.
