Job Title: Lab TechnicianJob Description

We are seeking a dedicated Lab Technician to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity for recent graduates to gain valuable skills and professional experience in a growing food manufacturing company. The position is based in a microbiology lab testing environment at our facility.

ResponsibilitiesConduct product and microbiology testing to ensure quality standards.Perform data entry and maintain accuracy in computer records.Set up the testing table and maintain the sample retention library for daily samples.Release products for shipment following proper protocols.Test raw ingredients to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.Resample totes, including nonconforming products and experimental totes.Adhere to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HAACP), housekeeping, and safety regulations.Complete all individual training as outlined by the training matrix or management training schedule.Perform other duties as directed by the Supervisor or Lab Lead.Essential SkillsBachelor's degree in Biology or Microbiology (Associate's degree may be considered).Experience in a laboratory setting.Proficiency in bacteria culture and food testing.Strong understanding of quality control and assurance processes.Familiarity with wet chemistry, titration, and pipetting.Skill in data entry and computer maintenance.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with bacteria culture plating and diagnosis.Knowledge of inspection processes.Ability to follow detailed safety protocols and procedures.Work Environment

This position operates within a microbiology lab testing environment at a food manufacturing facility. The role is scheduled for the 3rd shift, offering hands-on experience with state-of-the-art equipment and a focus on maintaining high safety and quality standards.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of BALDWINSVILLE, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
