As a Lab Technician, you will be responsible for understanding and following Quality System documents relevant to your responsibilities, such as the Quality Manual, SOPs, and Methods. You will adhere to quality measures to meet or exceed ISO/IEC standards, government regulatory requirements, and company standards. You will also ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
ResponsibilitiesDemonstrate proficiency in at least one core method and conduct at least one other assigned method with minimal supervision.Operate all required basic lab equipment within the department.Set up batches of samples to weigh and accurately weigh samples.Perform timely and accurate analysis of samples to meet customer commitments, including preparing samples for analysis, using appropriate analysis methods and techniques, and applying appropriate data reduction.Essential SkillsProficiency in biology, laboratory techniques, and chemistry.Experience with wet chemistry and pipetting.Knowledge of quality control, GMP, and quality assurance processes.Experience with microbiology and HPLC.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Microbiology, or other related scientific field is strongly preferred.A High School Diploma and previous lab experience are required if a Bachelor's degree is not obtained.Work EnvironmentYou will work in a large, fast-paced production lab with approximately seven labs on site, conducting nutritional testing for various clients across numerous industries. The role is structured as a strict contract with the potential for retention based on performance. The position operates on a 1st shift schedule, Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 4:30 PM.
