Job Title: Lab Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Lab Technician to join our team. This role involves working Monday through Friday, initially from 12:00 pm to 8:30 pm, with an upcoming shift change to 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm. Responsibilities
Assist in conducting experiments under the guidance of higher lab personnel, ensuring accuracy, precision, and adherence to protocols.Set up, operate, and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments.Collect data, record observations, and compile results using various laboratory techniques and software.Analyze data, draw insights, and contribute to the interpretation of experimental outcomes.Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laboratory, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.Manage inventory, including ordering and restocking supplies, and assist in maintaining equipment functionality.Document experimental procedures, results, and observations accurately in laboratory notebooks and reports.Assist in the preparation of technical reports and presentations summarizing experimental findings.Assist in quality control procedures and compliance with relevant standards, protocols, and safety regulations.Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the integrity and accuracy of data and experimental processes.Communicate effectively within the team and with supervisors to provide progress updates and seek guidance.Essential Skills
Minimum of one year of laboratory experience, demonstrating proficiency in lab techniques and procedures.Familiarity with laboratory equipment, instruments, and relevant software.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask effectively.Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.Team player with a proactive and positive approach to work.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Associates degree or currently enrolled in a Biology, Chemistry, or Science related field, preferred but not required.Work Environment
The position is based in a smaller Quality Control and R&D laboratory. The work involves using various laboratory equipment such as drying ovens, spray guns, and spray booth filters. The atmosphere is collaborative, fostering teamwork and innovation. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic setting.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Charlotte, NC.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
