Job Title: Lab TechnicianJob Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Lab Technician to perform laboratory and quality functions, including testing, data collection, and analysis of raw materials. The role requires compliance with NY State Ag & Markets, FDA, USDA, and GMP policies, as well as adherence to standard operating procedures and laboratory methods.

ResponsibilitiesConduct milk testing and product sample testing.Perform powder testing and full silo batch testing.Execute bacteria testing to ensure quality control.Comply with all relevant regulations and policies, including NY State Ag & Markets, FDA, USDA, and GMP.Follow standard methods for laboratory procedures and adhere to all standard operating procedures.Essential SkillsAS or BS Degree in Biology or Chemistry.Experience with laboratory instrumentation.Knowledge in biology, chemistry, quality assurance, GMP, microbiology, wet chemistry, quality control, and data entry.Additional Skills & QualificationsBS Degree in Biology or Chemistry is preferred.Open to candidates with educational knowledge in the relevant fields.Work Environment

The position offers both day and night shifts, with hours from 6am to 6pm for day shift and 6pm to 6am for night shift. The work environment includes a laboratory setting where precision and adherence to protocols are crucial.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Auburn, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
