 About the Role

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a motivated and detail?oriented Laboratory Technician member to support the research and development teams. This role is ideal for individuals beginning their scientific career who thrive in a dynamic, fast?paced laboratory environment and enjoy hands-on work that directly contributes to impactful diagnostic solutions.

You will work under direct supervision, receiving thorough training to perform laboratory support functions, maintain equipment and supplies, and assist with molecular and microbiological procedures. This position plays a critical role in ensuring laboratory operations run smoothly, safely, and efficiently.

 Key Responsibilities

Inventory, stock, and maintain project-specific laboratory supplies

Participate in weekly laboratory cleaning and general maintenance

Follow detailed, step-by-step instructions to assist in executing molecular and microbiological experiments, such as:

Nucleic acid extractions

Serial dilutions

PCR preparation and contamination?controlled workflows

Operate safely in a BSL-2 laboratory environment using appropriate PPE

Handle potentially pathogenic microorganisms, patient samples, and body fluids following sterilization and contamination?control procedures

Maintain detailed experimental documentation in electronic laboratory notebooks (ELNs)

Use, clean, and maintain laboratory equipment according to SOPs, quality requirements, and safety standards

Communicate progress, issues, and needs proactively with supervisors

Perform assigned tasks in compliance with corporate and Quality Management System (QMS) guidelines

Complete other duties as assigned to support R&D workflows

 Education & Experience Requirements

Support Level 6:

High School Diploma or GED with 1–2 years of laboratory experience

Preferred: Associate degree with biology coursework or equivalent hands?on lab exposure

Prior experience in molecular or microbiological labs is a plus, but not required

 Skills & Attributes Needed for Success

Basic laboratory skills and familiarity with standard lab equipment

Ability to work in a BSL-2 environment using proper PPE

Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail

Ability to follow written protocols, SOPs, and study?specific procedures

Team?oriented mindset with a proactive and collaborative approach

Comfortable working under direct supervision and taking feedback

Dedicated to supporting scientific research and departmental goals

Pay Details: $23.00 per hour
