Lab Technician
Job Title: Lab Technician Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Lab Technician for a Chemist position. This role involves handling Quality Control (QC) and Research and Development (R&D) for our product lines, ensuring the highest standards of quality and innovation. Responsibilities + Conduct quality control testing and analysis of raw materials and completed batches. + Maintain batching records and retain samples from such batches. + Create Certificates of Analysis for finished batches. + Assist in product specifications, regulatory compliance, and safety procedures. + Occasionally visit off-site locations to support the sales team. + Maintain Material Safety Data Sheets for each product, including finished products and raw materials. + Coordinate with purchasing to evaluate new raw materials and maintain an up-to-date database of approved products. + Adhere to Environmental/Quality Management Procedures. + Follow Manufacturing Operating Instructions, Sales Operating Instructions, and Purchasing Operating Instructions. + Maintain a clean and tidy lab environment. + Comply with company policies, procedures, and safety standards. Essential Skills + Proficient in Chemistry, Laboratory techniques, and Quality Control. + Experienced in Wet Chemistry, Quality Control Chemistry, and Analytical Chemistry. + Skilled in Titration, QC, FTIR, GCMS, Gas Chromatography, and Formulation. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field. + Experience with pH, titrations, viscosity, and other wet lab techniques. Work Environment The laboratory is a clean and well-maintained space, serving as the focal point of the company. The position operates on a consistent schedule from Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Flint, MI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
