Job Title: Lab TechnicianJob Description

This role involves collaborating with the R&D and technical teams to develop, modify, and test products, aiming to meet marketing, customer, and project objectives within the electronics market.

ResponsibilitiesConduct chemical batch making and test laboratory development samples.Support the development and introduction of new products, assist in commercialization, and contribute to developing application methods.Work primarily with polyurethane technologies, with potential exposure to other chemistries such as UV, acrylics, and epoxies.Formulate or modify adhesive samples to meet specific project, market, or customer requirements.Measure the quality of samples using standard and customer-specific benchtop, analytical, and physical testing techniques.Document project progress using project management methodologies.Assist with general laboratory safety and housekeeping duties, including adherence to guidelines and 5S principles.Maintain a safe and clean laboratory environment in shared locations.Essential SkillsExperience in chemical batch making and laboratory sample testing.Ability to formulate or modify adhesive samples.Proficiency in measuring sample quality using analytical and physical testing techniques.Strong documentation skills using project management methodologies.Commitment to maintaining a safe and clean laboratory environment.Additional Skills & QualificationsAssociate Degree in a Scientific Discipline such as Materials Science or Chemistry, or equivalent hands-on experience with material testing, sample preparation, and mixing raw materials.Experience in managing or running projects independently or with minimal support.Work Environment

The EA Americas Team supports several market segments and technologies within Electronics. The team culture is highly collaborative, with open communication and a focus on enhancing skills and knowledge. Senior scientists on the team are enthusiastic coaches and excellent teachers. The lab technician will work closely with a team of scientists, a lab tech, and a tech services person. This role offers a great opportunity to engage in R&D projects for a diverse range of end customers, including large electronics companies known for small consumer electronics and automotive electronics.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Paul, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
