Job Title: Lab Technician
Job Description
Perform laboratory tests to determine chemical and physical characteristics or composition of solid, liquid, or gaseous materials for purposes such as quality control, process control, or product development. Record test results on standardized forms and write test reports describing procedures used. Clean and maintain laboratory equipment and calibrate laboratory instruments. Prepare chemical solutions according to standard formulas and add chemicals or raw materials to process solutions or product batches to correct or establish formulations required to meet specifications.
Responsibilities
Receive and test 24 samples per set in the lab.Work at one station and conduct tests for viscosity, ICP, FTIR, pH, color, odor, etc.Manage a large volume of samples and maintain a busy lab environment.Ensure accuracy and detail in all lab testing and reporting.Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure proper calibration.Prepare chemical solutions as per standard formulas.Essential Skills
Experience in a laboratory setting (school or industry) is advantageous.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Detail-oriented with an emphasis on quality control.Knowledge of chemistry and wet chemistry techniques.Proficiency in viscosity testing, ICP, FTIR, and pH testing.Additional Skills & Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.Internships and laboratory experience are a significant plus.Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.Effective communication skills in speaking before groups of employees.Good math skills with the ability to perform basic algebra, calculus, and trigonometry.Ability to solve practical problems and interpret various instructions.Competence in performing lab tests, including pH, titrations, and diluting samples.Work Environment
Work hours are Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
