Lab Technician
**Responsibilities:** + Ensure safety rules are followed – facilitated through monthly safety talks, daily tool box talks, safety inspections and random supervisor audits + Ensures proper personal protective equipment is worn + Ensure regulatory requirements are met with regards to chemical disposal, proper PPE when handling chemicals + Daily product testing and verification of product inventory to meet customer requirements + Fulfill customer requests – additional analysis, samples to be sent out + Process Testing (ie., stone samples) + Coordination of lab testing equipment maintenance and calibration. Calibration and cleaning of laboratory equipment **Basic Requirements:** + High School Diploma or GED; Associates Degree is preferred + 1+ years of laboratory experience in an industrial manufacturing environment; Chemical background is a plus + Computer proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel and ability to learn SAP + Prior experience in, or knowledge of, ISO is preferred + Strong math and organizational skills along with ability to meet deadlines; ability to read and interpret technical procedures + Willing and able to work shifts and weekends + Prior experience demonstrating effective management skills, knowledge of continuous manufacturing sector + Statistical knowledge in chemistry & physics understanding + Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work independently while also operating in a team environment with friendly, proactive and assertive nature + High level of integrity motivation + Must be punctual and able to meet deadlines + Fluency in oral and written English + Valid driver’s license **Benefits & Compensation:** + Annual Base Salary range of $40,000 - $45,000 + Paid holidays and vacation time + Group medical/pharmacy insurance options with company funded health care spending accounts + Dental insurance & Vision insurance + A 401k account with company matching contribution + Company-paid life insurance and short-term and long-term disability insurance + Options to purchase additional life insurance (employee, spouse, and child) and additional employee long-term disability insurance Employee Assistance Program (EAP) + Tuition benefits including professional certifications READY TO JOIN A ROCK-SOLID FAMILY?
