Lab Technician
**Job Title: Laboratory Technician** **Job Description** Join a dynamic team at an anaerobic digestion facility, where you will play a crucial role in conducting comprehensive laboratory analyses and maintaining quality control standards. You'll ensure the accurate processing of samples and contribute to the development of experimental and developmental materials. **Responsibilities** + Conduct all login procedures for samples delivered to the laboratory, ensuring proper labeling and paperwork. + Sub-sample a variety of materials, process and product samples, following analytical methods required for compliance. + Record and compute results from test data, maintaining quality control records and charts. + Perform quantitative and qualitative analyses to determine chemical and physical properties of materials, including QA/QC sample analysis and calibrations. + Ensure proper documentation of all test results and audit sample documents for approval and completeness. + Prepare reagent and chemical solutions as directed by supervisor or lead technician. + Assist in maintaining inventory of chemical stores and collect Materials Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) documents. + Maintain and distribute Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for applicable methods. + Perform periodic audits of analytical logs and data to ensure regulatory compliance. + Set up equipment and instrumentation for tests, research, or process control, and perform minor repairs on laboratory apparatus. + Label lab waste containers and dispose of lab waste per guidelines. + Assist in other areas or with special projects as directed. **Essential Skills** + Proficiency in mathematics, including probability, statistical inference, geometry, and trigonometry. + Experience with computerized lab equipment and technical illustration. + Knowledge of OSHA compliance, chemical hygiene, and water treatment. + Ability to perform accurate, repeatable laboratory work and define problems, collect data, and draw conclusions. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + OSHA Certification + Chemical Hygiene Training + Hazwoper Certification (Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response) + Level 1 and 2 First Responder Certification + 1+ years of experience in a similar environment. **Why Work Here?** This position offers the opportunity to transition to permanent employment, providing stability and growth within the company. **Work Environment** You will spend 100% of your time in a lab or operations environment, with occasional exposure to outdoor and inclement weather conditions.
