Job Title: Lab TechnicianJob Description We are looking for a skilled Lab Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will drive improvements in existing methods to enhance quality and integration with production processes. You will support engineering and science teams in developing innovative solutions and work on the construction and testing of mechanical and electrical systems. Responsibilities + Challenge existing methods to drive improvements for higher throughput and quality. + Support engineering and science teams in researching and constructing innovative solutions. + Assist in the development, construction, deployment, and testing of mechanical and electrical systems for laboratory production and agricultural environments. + Support the startup and functional testing of prototypes to validate performance against requirements. + Collaborate with Safety departments to ensure compliance with safety and design standards. Essential Skills + Associate Degree or B.Sc. in Engineering/Science. + 1-3 years of experience in a relevant field. + Basic knowledge in constructing and testing electrical and mechanical systems. + Experience in laboratory environments, including sample preparation and data management. + Strong mathematical, verbal, and written communication skills. + Proficiency in standard office productivity software such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. + Ability to work effectively under multiple supervisors. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience using a broad range of fabrication and assembly tools, including soldering, cutting, welding, grinding, and drilling. + Familiarity with electrical test equipment such as digital multimeters and oscilloscopes. + PCB component-level soldering and troubleshooting skills. + Programming experience with single-board microcontrollers/computers and higher-level languages. + Experience operating milling and drilling machines and lathes. + Willingness to work on-site full time and travel up to 15% of the time. Work Environment The role requires full-time on-site work in a laboratory setting. The environment involves handling mechanical and electrical systems, with adherence to safety and design standards. Expect a collaborative atmosphere with opportunities to innovate and improve existing processes. Travel may be required up to 15% of the time. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Creve Coeur, MO. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
