At GDIT, we foster a people-focused and customer-centric environment in delivering Infrastructure Engineering Services.  As a Lab Engineer supporting the Government, you will be a part of a team responsible for daily operations, maintenance, data center design, and the security of lab environments that mirror production.

In this role, a typical day may include:

Designing and implementing Windows domain and child domain architecturesAnalyzing customer functional requirements to develop system requirements specifications and implement designed solutionsGuiding customers in formulating requirements, advising alternative approaches, and conducting feasibility studiesDesigning and defining system architecture for new or existing computer systemsProviding technical leadership regarding the integration of requirements, design, and technologyIntegrating new plans, designs, and systems into existing buildsDeveloping system architecture and system design documentationGuiding system development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of systems engineering management plans and systems integration and test plansInteracting with the Government customers regarding Systems Engineering and technical considerations for associated problems, issues, or conflicts

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

Active TS/SCI clearance and ability to obtain and maintain a CI polyMust meet DoD 8570 IAT Level II requirements including one of the following: Security+ CE, CND, SSCP, GSEC, GICSP, CySA+, or CCNA SecurityBachelor’s Degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certification, training, or work/military experienceFamiliarity with monitoring solutions, and enterprise security compliance requirementsExperience with installation, configuration, and maintenance of VMWare infrastructure and the deployment of virtual machine instancesExperience with the following:Infrastructure engineeringEnterprise testing & lab environmentsActive directory & PKI infrastructureNetwork administrationData center physical server racking and configurationLinux administrationInfoblox IPAM administrationProcurement testing & approval of enterprise lab tools
