Job Description
We are seeking Technicians to join our team on the 1st shift. This entry-level position provides an excellent opportunity for employees to develop technical skills, understand regulations, and learn the basic operational approaches, including working independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Responsibilities
Perform tissue processing activities to achieve the highest quality and yield outcomes as per Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs).Accurately process tissue products while meeting production schedules.Ensure safety by wearing appropriate clean room lab attire and applying excellent aseptic techniques in a clean room/controlled environment.Understand and adhere to waste disposal requirements.Complete paperwork and data entry accurately following Good Documentation Practices.Store and move tissue in appropriate locations to maintain accurate inventories.Conduct cycle count activities in accordance with SOPs.Assist in reviewing and updating SOPs, work instructions, and procedures.Serve as a technical expert in tissue processing, advising colleagues and engineers on techniques and improvement opportunities.Support key annual performance metrics for operations.Participate in continuous improvement activities during team meetings and other formal/informal settings.Essential Skills
Experience in GMP environment, GLP, Clinical Lab, Aseptic environment, or Tissue/Specimen Processing.Technical expertise in tissue processing, clean room operations, sterile techniques, and tissue banking.Proficiency in sterilization, decontamination, and environmental technician duties.Ability to provide lab support and adhere to GMP and clean room standards.Additional Skills & Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent.Work Environment
The position operates within a controlled biomedical manufacturing environment, requiring aseptic techniques and adherence to clean room operational SOPs as per lab safety protocols. Initially, training will occur on the first shift (8am – 4pm) for two weeks, followed by shadowing/training and job duties on the second shift (3:00pm-1:30am) on a rotating 4-10's schedule. Employees must be open to working all shifts, including every Tuesday and Wednesday, and two other days during the week, with Sundays off

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Alachua, FL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00/hr.
