In a hands-on educational setting, you will provide essential daily support under the close supervision of a Lab Management team or Lead Technologist. You will learn to perform laboratory functions within regulatory and GMP guidelines, specifically in accordance with 21 CFR parts 210 and 211, as well as ISO guidelines.
ResponsibilitiesObtain working knowledge of the Quality System and Laboratory Information System.Support the daily operation of a microbiological testing laboratory.Receive, unpack, and organize customer samples for laboratory processing.Organize and prepare customer returns for processing.Discard customer samples under supervision and guidance.Perform routine cleaning of all laboratory equipment daily, weekly, and monthly as needed.Assist with Operations laboratory inventory.Restock consumables and materials required for sample processing.Operate laser cutter under supervision and guidance.Dispose of microbial cultures, chemicals, recyclables, sharps, and glass in proper waste containers.Comply with all aspects of laboratory safety, including safety stations, safety manuals, safety SOPs, and MSDS/SDS sheets.Perform all other related duties as assigned.Essential SkillsKnowledge in Laboratory operations and procedures.Understanding of Biology and Microbiology.Familiarity with Sample processing and Chemistry.Competency in inventory management and aseptic cleaning.Understanding of GMP guidelines.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh school diploma or Associate degree in Microbiology or related discipline required.0-2 years of related experience in a laboratory setting.An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute.Work EnvironmentThe role involves working in a laboratory setting, adhering to all safety protocols. The position requires maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in the lab and involves handling samples and operating equipment under supervision. The environment adheres to GMP and ISO guidelines, ensuring a structured and compliant atmosphere.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
