IF currently has 13+ facilities with 22+ micro-communities scattered across Orange County, Los Angeles County and the Inland Empire. Job Description: The Kitchen Steward is responsible for maintaining a clean and organized kitchen and food storage areas. The pay range for this position is $20-21 per hour, depending on experience.  The schedule for this position is Saturday - Tuesday, 3:00pm to 8:00pm.    Responsibilities:    Customer Service:  + Assist with serving meals during meal and snack times.  + Communicate client needs to Lead Cook and/or Culinary Manager.  + Work with volunteers and help foster a welcoming work environment.         Health, Safety, and Sanitation:  + Assist with maintaining compliance with all local, state, and federal health and safety regulations.  + Adhere to proper handling, storage, and rotation (FIFO) of food items to minimize waste and maintain freshness.  + Maintain a clean and sanitary work area.  + Work in alignment with the company’s Guiding Principles  + Cleaning dishes, washing cooking utensils and cookware, taking out the trash, and sanitizing the kitchen.  + Complete daily, weekly, monthly cleaning logs.  Food Preparation:  + Labeling and stocking ingredients on easily accessible shelves.  + Handle basic cooking duties such as parboiling, preparing salads, etc.          Miscellaneous:  + Attend required training and meetings as required.  Expectations:  + We uphold the values of Community, Action, Respect, and Empowerment in all aspects of our work.   + Community   We lead with the vision of a strengthened and compassionate community for all.
