We are currently looking for upbeat, hard-working Kiefel & Regrind Operator to work full-time permanent on our Afternoon shift (Monday to Friday 15:00-23:00) at our Alliston facility. The following are dress/gowning requirements: safety glasses, safety shoes, ear plugs, jumpsuit, hood, hairnet, beard cover, gloves, isolation mask and boots (additional PPE required when cleaning)

What You'll Be Doing
The Kiefel & Regrind Operator operates the Weigh Blender and PVC Grinder. Perform all necessary Q.A. checks and documentation for the Weigh Blender and PVC Grinder as required. Assist Kiefel department with regrind activities as necessary. Backup Kiefel & Sub-assembly
Duties performed on a rotational basis:
Operate the Weigh Blender and PVC grinder in a safe manner.
Perform QA inspections and complete documentation following Good Documentation Practices (GDP) to support release of product.
Troubleshoot and make minor equipment adjustments to produce a quality product in an efficient manner.
Use of computer to enter shop floor data & order raw materials necessary.
Maintain all necessary production paperwork ensuring materials used correspond with B.O.M.
Transport raw materials and finished products following safe lifting guidelines and utilize lift devices and material handling equipment.
Additional Responsibilities in one or more of the following positions:
Extrusion Operator:
Set-up and adjust extrusion lines and coiling machines (Vulcan and manual) as necessary to produce a quality product
Set-up cutter and make adjustment as necessary to ensure product is made as per applicable procedures
Maintain all necessary production paperwork ensuring materials used correspond with B.O.M.
Perform line clearance as needed and pin, die, screen, sizer & wall diameter changes
Perform quality checks (LaserMike, Red Ink, Visual inspection, etc.), prepare documents and release product as per applicable procedures
Pack tubing in gaylords/racking & identify skids/racks.
Stage raw materials including resin from warehouse when necessary
Use of computer to enter shop floor data (GME, Infinity) & order raw materials necessary.
Perform cleaning activities (daily, weekly, monthly)
Create work orders in GME and print tickets with correct quantity
Report scrap made into GME with appropriate reason code
Duties performed on a continual or intermittent basis:
Learn, understand and apply thorough quality standards, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP)
Notify the supervisor and take appropriate action if any safety, quality, mechanical or discrepancy issues occur
Sustain a clean and safe work area using 6S principles
What You'll Bring

Demonstrated ability to document data accurately per CA GPP 80.
Must have the ability to comprehend Baxter Specifications / SOP’s and resolve apropriate corrective actions.
Equipment used: Extruder, 4 wheel trolleys, walkie & manual jacks, Q.A. tools and gauges, cutter, coiler, and computer
We understand that compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all our employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. To that end, this position has a pay rate of $26.00 an hour. You may also be entitled to a shift premium for all shift premium eligible hours which will be included in your bi-weekly pay. Shift premium pay is subject to change and is at the sole discretion of the Company.
