Make It With Pride.** The Key Account Manager manages all retail accounts with less than 100 stores across the Natural and Conventional channels. This includes management of category reviews and promotional planning. Internally they work cross functionally with the trade and demand planning teams to maintain a forecast for new item launches and promotional periods. The KAM facilitates relationships with broker partners and merchandisers to support accounts. **Role Objectives** **​and Responsibilities:** **Manage and expand independent business:** + Develop AMPPS strategy (merchandising, assortment, pricing, promotion, shelving). + Category review presentation preparation – pulling data, PowerPoint building, SKU rationalization, shelf placement analysis, promotional frequency + Promotional planning – trade calculations, margin calculations, calendar creation. + Track performance, ensure proper ordering cadence, execute Hu strategy and priorities. **Customer/ Broker Communications:** + Develop strong relationships with brokers to ensure independent retailers have promotional plans, participate in category reviews, analyze SKU rationalization, and drive results. + Work closely with direct alternative channel accounts to ensure business needs are met, inventory and new items are tracking correctly, finding promotional and strategic ways to increase consumer visibility and trial. **Internal Forecasting:** + Modus updates when items approved / discontinued. + Promotional lift communications. + Display / shipper forecasting + Work with the Trade team on quarterly Modus reviews + Work with the Trade team on Shopper marketing reviews **Internal Team Meetings:** + Weekly Supply Chain Calls + Weekly Sales Team Meeting + SIOP + MBR + TPM System and Demand Planning Reviews + Shopper Marketing Reviews + Weekly Natural NAM 1:1 + Monthly Skip Level with VP of Sales 1:1 What are ways "Key Account Manager" can exemplify Hu’s values in their role? **Hustle:** + Consistently delivers results relating to category reviews – SKU rationalization, new item placements Finding ways to achieve goals when faced with challenges (shelf space, promotional asks, etc) **Humility:** + Seeks feedback after each presentation / meeting. What do they do in those systems and processes?** **Web Integrated:** + Inputs / Promo notification **SPINS/Nielsen:** + Run and analyze reports **Distributor Portals:** + UNFI Insights, Crisp, KeHE Connect **Salary and Benefits:** The base salary range for this position in Washington is $77,969 to $91,300; the base salary range for all other states is $73,900 to $101,650; the exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
